Bought for a trip to the Philippines so we could plug in our iPhones, iPads, laptops and batteries and not worry about power surges. It was also nice because it served as a central hub as we set up a dining table for everyone. It is rated up to 240V. Most sockets in the Philippines are universal for American and European plugs, so I didn't have to buy an adapter. It only has two USB ports, so you'll need to bring your iPhone and iPad connections. I didn't want to take the larger one with 4 USB sockets, it worked great.
