My first Revain review. I was unable to get an emergency appointment at the keratin salon after weeks of boggy, wet weather in the Northeast. I wanted it before I endure another boggy week in Florida. I was desperate and after doing a little research on the internet I took a chance on buying this product. The product was delivered to me overnight and the company emailed me detailed application instructions (they also provided a laminated sheet with instructions). I followed the directions carefully (you need a flat iron that heats to 450 degrees which I have) and spent almost 2 hours on my chin length hair. My hair looked and felt the same as it did after a regular salon keratin treatment. I didn't wash it for days and when I did it was even silkier/shinier. I've had it for over a week now and I can't believe how smooth and silky it is and how easy it is to maintain. Normally my hair was frizzy/curly in Florida but stayed nice and straight and shiny. I try to grow my hair from my chin to my shoulders and my hair, while thin, is definitely curly. I typically only do 1-2 keratin treatments a year due to the cost and time it takes to apply in the salon. But with this product I can now do my own keratin treatments and I swear it's as good as or better than the salon version. If it's nice, silky, and straight, my regrowth process will be a lot less painful. The best part is that I invested almost $100 in this product but it gets used multiple times (maybe 5-6 I think) while a typical keratin treatment where I live costs $250. I know I only have one week but I can't believe how good the product is. Salon version of keratin - they say it can be worn for about 4-6 months. I have a feeling if I get 2 months with this I'll be hooked and I can just apply for another round. Highly recommend for those who are tired of paying for an expensive salon and feel like there is something they can do at home!
