Review on Purina Veterinary Fortiflora Nutritional Supplement by Ashley Gvozdeva

Saved a few cats with it.

This is a great product. My vet recommended it to the terribly malnourished new cat mom who found me. I fed her every time she came which was about 3 times a day until she had four kittens. I don't think this little cat weighed more than 10 ounces when I first picked her up. She entered through an unused cat door, still bleeding from the kittens' birth. I picked her up and she literally hugged me. I had never seen her before, but we were sisters under the skin and I fed her whatever was safe for the cat. Once she left, I bought FortiFlora, powdered goat milk, and lots of wet and dry cat food. I didn't know how she could make milk. About three days later she brought me her kittens, including an obviously older kitten that she adopted. I named her Sweet Pea. It was touch and movement for about four days, and then it seemed like they all survived. I added FortiFlora daily until the kittens were about three months old, and then added a few times a week instead of every day. I continued to use it daily with Sweet Pea because she didn't gain much weight until the kittens were weaned. Through a rescue organization I was able to have the cats neutered, spayed, vaccinated and found permanent homes for them. Sweet Pea and her son were adopted together, which was especially nice as they were very bonded. I also feed it to an FIV positive cat that I rescued from my area. It seems to help his digestion a lot. It feels good and looks stable. So thank you Purina for a refreshing product. I just wish it was cheaper. I have two new rescuers who almost died in my arms, a tiny tiny kitten before I could give them their first meal, but I had several packets of this product to add to their meals when they were finally in the Were able to keep food down. Both are recovering well.
