I ordered a size smaller for her. A good tip is to always check the size chart for any clothing item you order (but you probably already know that). Anyway, these fit well. I tend to run a little small for the fit, but that's because my son has such long legs and a small waist. But they fit well around his waist and reach just above his knees. A NOTICE. The color I ordered (black and red) did not match the color I received (black and white). I checked the order page and either the description didn't match or the picture didn't match. I forgot which one doesn't fit. But overall these shorts are exactly what he needs!
