My baby sometimes sleeps with me on my bed. To provide extra protection when he sleeps with me, I decided to try it. The construction is strong enough to prevent my little one from falling off the foot of the bed (I have a wall on one side and a small bed on the other). The design allows the mesh to be retracted so you don't lose access. One installation suggestion: My husband drilled and screwed the brackets to my wooden bed frame and mattress over the bracket for added security. However, I can see that the weight of the mattress alone is enough to keep this thing in place.
