Review on SunFounder 37 Modules Sensor Kit V2.0 – Compatible with Raspberry Pi 4B, 3 B+, 2B, A+, Zero – Includes Raspberry Pi Board by Patrick Keita

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent overall quality and adequate documentation, only 1 error

I have to say I love this kit, it has everything you need to start with the basic programming and learn how the sensors work with an SBC or Microcontroller can be connected. .The only thing you need to pay attention to is the IDE cable that comes in the box and its orientation when connecting. As you can see in the picture, the cable only enters the T-Cobbler one way, and plugging it into a Raspberry Pi with the alignment notch facing out flips the GPIO pinout 180 degrees (the physical pin 1 becomes the physical pin 40 ). In the little brochure they provide, the pictures show the WRONG way of connecting the IDE cable to the T-Cobbler. After reading old reviews/comments I realized that this is an old issue from 2015, an issue that has NOT been fixed as of October 2018. Make sure the center alignment on the SBC side of the GPIO is pointing to the SBC's BCM. You may need to reverse the IDE cable to do this. Otherwise it's a good kit, but I haven't had time to test all the modules it contains. I'll let you know if I find something that doesn't work. I would also suggest combining this with the ELEGOO Upgraded Electronics Fun Kit with Power Module for more versatility. This is the cheapest option I've found for the stuff it comes with.
