I bought this replacement jug because mine broke and I didn't want to replace it (because there was nothing to wring out). This was the only Black and Decker 12 cup carafe I could find and it looks exactly like the one I broke so I figured it would fit in my car. When the carafe arrived it came with two different lids, one with a taller end and the other with a shorter end. But even with the shorter lid, the carafe is very easy to insert and remove. Before you buy a carafe, place it in your coffee maker to make sure it's the right size.
