Right in the description it says it works with iPhones (including 8). Same story as everyone else: I thought the separate charging port was for extra charging of the phone while in use. No, it needs to be activated for it to work. The instructions are rubbish and I had the same experience: plug in, QR code on screen, upload firmware, you hear a squeaky 90's modem sound and then nothing. Nothing was broadcast on TV. Made it several times, ended up having to send it back. Don't roll the dice with sketchy Chinese third-party apps. Pay more for a quality product. It's hard to spend more than double, but the peace of mind is worth it.
