I had Lixit 20 years ago. The rubber stopper wears out, but these stoppers are no longer manufactured. I heard these new bottles drip (lick), but after doing my homework on various brands, they still seemed like the best option - which is a sad statement about water bottles these days. The first thing I noticed was that the cork didn't "stick". like in old times. Now it just seems inserted, but not very tight. Second, it doesn't drip when it's 100% full. At 75% it starts dripping. When it's half full (I'm an optimist) it drips about every 15 seconds. So it's not perfect and I have to refill it more often, but it's better than a dirty water bowl. For reference, I have a large bottle with a medium nozzle. He is used with Congo African Gray and has no problem getting enough water when using it.
