I had never heard of them but my girlfriend had them and she said she liked them so I ordered them myself. I hate paper nail files, they fray at the edges, they're either too rough or too small and you can't clean them. These glass files are the polar opposite in every way. They're made of glass so they won't wear out, the glass makes it easy to erase even fine grit files and you can just wash them off when you're done. Glass does this in a way that you have to be more careful when filing your nails than I've seen with paper files. First you need to file carefully, otherwise you will be left without a nail, as it goes very quickly. Also, you can't move back and forth like I used to do with paper files. I know you should only file in one direction, but laziness has created a bad habit that makes some really uncomfortable sticking to glass files. Not a big deal, just something to tweak in the future.
