Double the Power: TheOUTlet Basic by Secret Sockets Review

My large fitted kitchen has a floor care area where I keep brooms, a floor steamer and a hand vacuum. A few years ago I had a wall box with two sockets to accommodate devices with rechargeable batteries. More floor care items seem to require sockets, so I figured Secret Sockets' simple OUTlet would help eliminate the need to install more sockets. Made in China, this product doubles your outlets without cutting additional holes in your wall. Installation was complicated by my old work box. The electrical cable entries are angled at the rear, greatly reducing the available length. Since this socket was installed after the house was built, it was easy to replace the device socket with a deeper one. Make sure you have 2 inches of clearance in the back box as the interior of this outlet is blocky and takes up a lot of space. Most junction boxes are quite deep, a potential problem is compressing wires and cutting corners. Once installed, OUTlet basic doubles the number of available sockets at the push of a button. There is enough space on each side for two standard plugs at the same time. Additional sockets can also be hidden when not in use. This outlet is convenient and works well in my pantry. If you need more outlets but don't want to add another outlet to the wall, consider the Secret Sockets OUTlet basic. ► ADVANTAGES: Easy installation double sockets without additional bandages - child safety. 1 year limited warranty. ► CONS: May require a deep build box.
