It has two available receptacles and still fits into your standard duplex wall box. - BUT when opened.theOUTlet instantly doubles your receptacles without taking up any additional wall space. Simply slide the button on theOUTlet to hide or expose additional receptacles when and where you need them. No more hunting for outlet expanders in the junk drawer, looking for the last available extension cord, or having to deal with an ugly solution that just doesn't meet your needs (because who wants an extension cord on the kitchen counter?!).

Great idea and well done, but not for me

This is such a great idea and it was so well executed and packaged with great instructions. However, my home in Southern California is 30 years old and the boxes used do not match the cords and size of this outlet. I plan to keep it in hopes that one day it will work in my house.

very smart!: Electrical

Wow, you need more outlets, but plugging in a power strip is not advisable, because of the dirty look, this is a great solution. Very clever just when you thought everything was done in sockets! Works great, looks neat, perfect for kitchens. Be careful, you need a deep box as intended. sometimes the only solution. It's a bit pricey compared to plugging in a 2-to-4 adapter, but it looks swanky. 4.5 stars. Recommended.

Double the Power: TheOUTlet Basic by Secret Sockets Review

My large fitted kitchen has a floor care area where I keep brooms, a floor steamer and a hand vacuum.
