It was very easy to change. The position of the microwave handle above the hottest burner does not appear to have been considered when it was made. The heat makes it quite brittle. Then again, it took 10 years, so here's the thing. First I coated the handle with epoxy, but even the epoxy broke off from the heat. Probably because the door is metal. An important caveat is to pull the inner plastic lid very gently, breaking these tabs will get you a new door or a whole new microwave. There are good videos on YouTube for screwing. It's not difficult at all, but don't rush it.
