Review on CORSAIR Carbide Mid Tower Solid Panel by Juan Russell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No front slots, limited to four storage devices

This case is well made and solid. However, it has NO openings on the front for optical drives, USB memory card readers, fan controls or anything else. It also only has internal mounts for four drives - two 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch drives. Storage devices are mounted on brackets attached to the side of the case. The front panel connections are actually on the side and consist of two USB3 ports, a microphone and headphone jack, power and reset buttons. The side panel also has a power indicator and a hard drive access indicator. The top, bottom and back are mostly made of mesh. There are many places where fans and water cooling can be installed. The front panel is also mostly mesh with mounts for three fans. The front cover has mesh inserts around the perimeter to filter out dust. The power supply (not included) is bottom mounted and configured to pull air through the bottom of the case. There is a removable filter element (actually just a fine screen). The filter can be removed for cleaning. It is removed from the back and requires no tipping or tilting of the case to reach it. The kit includes a case fan. This is not a PWM fan. The kit includes a lot of hardware. Screws for fastening fans, drives and other things in bags. Several cable ties are included, and there are plenty of brackets on the case to keep your cables neatly organized. Installed motherboard standoffs for a full size ATX board. Slots for mini and micro ATX boards are well marked. If you need a lot of cooling, no optical drives and only a few hard drives, this is a good case. If you need many hard drives, e.g. B. for a server, look elsewhere.

Pros
