Works great once you get used to it

I bought this to cut precise holes in foam board for coin wall display. The blade was easy to load and the holes it cuts are very clean, but there are a few flaws to watch out for. First, the gauge for setting the diameter of the hole being cut is not very accurate. It's close, but don't count on cutting the exact size on the first try. Take a piece of improvised material and make a few test cuts first. Second, don't forget to place a scrap piece under the area you're going to cut and be sure to cut through it to form a clean circle. And finally, you have to press the torch very hard against the piece to be cut, otherwise it will slip and ruin your bumps. Once I figured them out, using them was a breeze.

Pros
  • knife and box cutter
Cons
  • not reliable
