Do not use on foam board

Should have looked at the name better. Use on a foam core breaks through the outer layer of the paper wrapper. The blade is so small that it falls under the layer of paper making cutting impossible. May work on "foam" but definitely not foam board.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Large and bulky

This works well for cutting tools

This thing actually works very well - I was skeptical - using it to cut thick foam material for cosplay making. I have a few suggestions on how to make it even better. Cuts a perfect round with a straight cut - I would like to be able to tilt the blade and make a graduated cut from wide to narrow.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • No performance

But works very well.

Works very well but the blade needs to be sharpened after every 4-5 uses or it will cut like crap. I use a Kershaw Ultra-Tek Blade Sharpener (2535), a few passes on each side and it's like new again. I got this a month ago and haven't had to change blades yet, just keep sharpening!

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Works great once you get used to it

I bought this to cut precise holes in foam board for coin wall display. The blade was easy to load and the holes it cuts are very clean, but there are a few flaws to watch out for. First, the gauge for setting the diameter of the hole being cut is not very accurate. It's close, but don't count on cutting the exact size on the first try. Take a piece of improvised material and make a few test cuts first. Second, don't forget to place a scrap piece under the area you're going to cut and be sureโ€ฆ

Pros
  • knife and box cutter
Cons
  • not reliable

The product cuts very well. He has one major.

The product cuts very well. It has several serious flaws. 1. The cutting plotter must have a cover (or cap) so that it can be lifted, transported, etc. without being cut by the blade and servers to protect the blade.2. To rewind the cutter, it would be safer to put the handles on the sides!3. If the material is smaller than the screen diameter, the cut will fail. Because the screen does not hold the material! I'm sure there is a way to hold the material if there are slits in the shield. Itโ€ฆ

Worked great at first, now it doesn't

I bought this for a fairly large project: I'm making advent calendars for six and needed to cut 6 x 24 holes out of a sheet of foam. I got the cutter, put the blade in (it was a bit tricky to put the blade holder back on but it worked) and started using the cutter. This worked very well for the first two boards (48 holes). Then he began to cling to the edges of the circles. I replaced the blade - there is no difference, the edges were still uneven (see photo). I've found that the whole internal
