I have used many of these headsets with Dragon Dictate 4.0 on my Macbook Pro (Retina) and Mavericks OS. This overshadows the others. Not only is it better than other - even more expensive - headsets, it also rivals the desk mics from Yeti Blue and Samson. In fact, it's better than Samon's desktop mics. The key is to download Andrea noise reduction software from Andrea website. So not just "plug and play". Download the noise canceling program and select Andrea's monaural headset as the default microphone in the system settings. And everything is ready! Some reviewers complain about the head strap securing the mic to the head. Yes, it's a little stiff, but that's probably a good thing. It won't fall off your head. (Some people complain about small things. The headband stiffness is a small thing.) For speech recognition software, this is excellent.
