Pleasant shortram intake noise. It was easy to install and went well with a 2000 Miata NB. It was a little tricky to set up properly, but it could have been an installation error. There was no rubber padding on the heat shield but I'm not worried as it doesn't affect functionality. The intake noise is noticeable when accelerating and remains muffled up to 3500 rpm. Looks great in the engine bay, just wish the clamps were black instead of chrome. However, judging by my application dynamometer, the mid and high frequency performance appears faster. Edit: I forgot to mention that I had to cut about an inch or so of the silicon tubing attached to the throttle body. A sharp razor, be careful, gets the job done quickly. Not a very big problem. Remember to clean it before installation! Did I mention I like induction sounds? * I have a small problem - it's a noise at idle, it's very loud even with the hood closed. I believe it is due to the pod style filter. Not a problem at all, just noticeable.
