I bought this adapter specifically for my VM and it works great. I have an older system (FX 8350 with Asus Sabertooth 990FX AM3+) but had no problems. The physical installation was a bit strange as I had some minor issues with the metal card slots in my case. However, once I hooked it up, I was ready to go. Configured a new NIC via Virt-Manager and set it as a bridged connection, which allowed me to keep communication between host and guest for services/applications like Synergy and Filezilla. This replaced my previous solution (USB NIC adapter) and gave me a cleaner look. Also included in the package was a CD with drivers (Linux and Windows) which were unnecessary but would have been nice. Having gained a lot of experience from this purchase, I would recommend this PC to anyone. Hope that helps!
