I have a 15 lb rescue terrier mix who loves to be around me and two of our problems I have tried to solve with the collar have been whining and trying to get on mine in the car jumping on my lap, as well as whining and crying when I left the house, which annoyed others so much that my husband didn't want to be alone with his dog. This collar kept what it promised! Note * I didn't need to use the shock function as the beep and vibration are enough for my little boy who is very sensitive. I tested it and it works, but I don't need it. I put him on and we got in the car and when he yelped I gave the command quiet and honked the horn and he looked around, how interesting is that where that's coming from. A minute later he whimpered again and I said quiet, hit the vibrate and he immediately stopped whining. Then he did something amazing that he had never done in the 6 months I had him. He lay down on the bed in the front seat and stayed there calmly. We drove around town and it was the most relaxing drive I've ever had with him. When he whimpered about 5 minutes later I vibrated again and he stopped. Wonderful. Then I left it at home with my husband and prepared a remote control for him and he didn't even have to use it. Wearing a collar is enough to keep the whining at bay. If he whines, I've instructed my hubs what to do. He didn't even bark when I got home - dogs are so smart they knew what would happen if he did. It turns out he knew right and wrong all the time, he just needed some reinforcement. He also has a bad habit of barking when I'm paying attention to my older dog, which I have also used vibration for and this has helped calm him down as well. Call it a magic collar and we've had it in less than 24 hours! We love it! Why have I waited so long?
