The car battery stayed charged even after a long period of inactivity in the garage (especially during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown). I used a cigarette lighter adapter for easier plug and play. Remember to turn on the car ignition before plugging in the cigarette lighter adapter. Then just plug the charger into an outlet and you're done. However, there is one important thing. In the event of a power failure at the outlet, charging will stop and will not resume when power is restored. In this case, be sure to repeat the above steps: Turn on the ignition of the car, and then plug in the cigarette lighter adapter. This should restart the loading cycle.
