Review on Black Logitech Z207 2.0 Stereo Speaker for Multiple Devices by Rip Twin

Disappointing sound

I bought these as external speakers for my Macbook when connected to external peripherals. The sound quality is very poor compared to my Macbook's internal speakers. The speakers sound fuzzy and indistinct: treble too low, bass too high. There's also no way to adjust the treble or bass like you can with other speakers. The only way to make them sound clearer is to turn up the volume, but at this point the audio gets uncomfortably loud. When I returned to my Macbook's speakers, the sound was clear, punchy, and perfectly balanced (although it lacked much bass). To make matters worse, when you switch to a wired connection, the volume goes very low! I had to turn the volume up to at least 75% to even hear the sound. I still don't understand why the volume is different for Bluetooth than wired, it basically defeats the purpose of a wired connection. the ability to emit surprisingly loud sound if necessary. However, these speakers are pretty poor as desktop speakers (especially if you're used to Mac speakers). I returned them and bought the PreSonus Eris E3.5 instead. They were more expensive but aesthetically similar with significantly higher sound quality. Seriously, these are the best speakers I've ever had and I'd highly recommend them instead. I would only recommend them if you want cheap bluetooth speakers with good bass and loud sound. But if you want pure sound quality and functionality, I would avoid them entirely.
