They freak out HUGE! I have never seen such large salt and pepper shakers. I have attached photos to show their size. They are wider than a soda can and I place them next to a larger than "normal" salt and pepper shaker. When I'm cooking under normal conditions my hands sometimes get greasy and hard to grip (my hand can't fit in) but if I'm cooking with less than 110% dry hands forget it! My mother, who has arthritis, said they were awful for her because she had to hold them because they were so big. They are cute which is why they get 2 stars but my goodness they are huge and that doesn't make them very functional. Make them normal size and they get 5 stars.
