I bought this for myself and as a gift for a friend. It's great to just be able to put a record back on, I'm an 80's kid and grew up on vinyl and cassettes. It's not that loud at all, but you can buy speakers, just make sure they're speakers with an RCA plug (yellow-red or white-red, with a metal pin on the end anyway) and not the cable that comes with it You plug in , hopefully it makes sense. I won't use it for other purposes, maybe my nieces and nephews, but I intend to use it to play vinyl records. It's time to go back to old school, something I can touch and feel and wish I could find a cheap horn style gramophone like my great grandmother had growing up. Would definitely recommend, the deal was so good I bought it twice! Rschunimagu. If you want to record loudly, you have to invest in speakers.
