The best solution I've found complies with California state law. The state does NOT allow mounts on the dash. You can only use the window mount in the 7" x 7" area at the lower left corner of the windshield. Using this phone mount in this small area solves my problem. The adjustable arm allows me to position my phone so that it doesn't block my view of the road. I can place my phone above the left drive in an easily accessible location for the "one touch" functionality permitted by state law. Run a long enough USB cable through the back of the handlebar to ensure uninterrupted power and your favorite mapping app will be in the best position for navigation. time (a few years or more). These are problems common to all suction cup mounts. I bought the mount when I needed it because I couldn't find a better system to mount my phone in the car. (Be sure to select a phone unlock mode that doesn't require access to the rear fingerprint reader while driving.)
