Melissa and Doug really impressed me and these crayons are no different. Advantages: * Unique shape. The unique triangular shape of these crayons makes them much easier for little hands to grip. As an added bonus, they also prevent them from rolling away.* No wrap around. Pencil wrappers always end up getting in the way. This eliminates them completely, which also means less waste. * They come in a plastic box instead of a cardboard box. The suitcase is a lot prettier but honestly don't expect it to survive the rough hands of excited kids*. No animal fat! The fact that most colored pencils contain real animal fat is either not clear to many or is not taken into account. Melissa and Doug Crayons are free from animal fat and stearic acid and are vegan friendly. to grab. Other colored pencils are also suitable, but are advertised as unbreakable. * No individual packaging telling your child the name of the color. Wrappers can be annoying, so that's both good and bad. All in all, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. This is a product I love buying for my kids.
