Review on Mini Tripod: A Versatile Tabletop Stand for DSLR Cameras & Smartphone Flash Compatibility (RT-T21) by Derrick Patterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

very strong and very simple

This gives the mini tripod a solid and sturdy feel, which makes it immediately clear that it's not made out of cheap plastic or flimsy stamped metal. The leg adjusters are firm but smooth, allowing them to stay in the position you put them in under all but very heavy loads. The rubber feet are non-slip and well fixed. The reason this well-made piece of equipment can be sold so cheaply is that it's fairly minimal. The three joints that the legs attach to are the only movement - or adjustment points. The 1/4-20 mounting screw is fixed, so you have to rotate the entire tripod to attach or detach your gear The same tilting of your gear is done by spreading or sliding one or more legs. I would rate this as a good solid basic mini tripod at a great price.

Pros
  • - Universal Compatibility: Functions with 1/4" universal screw on the top, wide possibilities for DSLR/DSLR and mirrorless cameras, sports cameras, smartphones, stabilizers, selfie sticks, monopods...
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
