If you prefer a summary, check out a few juicers I've featured in the Have used past or I One of my kids wanted to start making their own juice while I saw this at the hostel and thought this might be a good choice HOW IT DOES IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT THIS IS DOUBLE BOXED THE EXTERIOR Packaging is Heavyweight Cardboard The inner box is what you would see if it were on a store shelf It is full color and has many photos and tags The inside is heavily padded and all parts arrived in pristine condition WHAT JUICER HAVE I USED?I have an Omega 900 juicer which is quite expensive I have also used other chewing juicers as well as other slow juicers ver different types. I have several Breville juicers as well as a Green Star Tribest juicer that still costs over $500. I've also tested a few other juicers from well-known chef lines to unnamed Chinese brands. BROCHURE I would like to start with the brochures that accompany this one. There are basic instructions, very good. It's easier to understand than some stuff I've received that way. There is also a recipe booklet which might be perfect but they really didn't edit it very well. For example, it ends with "Here's a delicious zucchini bread you'll want to try and a pulp sandwich bread that can be both salty and sweet!" That's all. end of the book. No prescription, nothing. Also, the recipes are in grams, not US measurements. This is an area of this package that needs improvement. The photos are great but the content needs to be a little better and more complete. HOW IS THIS ASSEMBLY? I have to say that this juicer is really great. It snaps into place and everything is well marked. It has a button that you press to unlock when you want to remove the front of the auger/juicer filter. PARTS QUALITY The quality of the parts on this machine is still excellent. I have to say that I am impressed with the good quality of each piece. FILTER What bothers me the most is the Omega 900's screen. Half plastic, half screen. This screen is basically a screen. I just hope you can get another one if you need it. CLEANING This juicer comes with a brush similar to the one you get in all juicers. COLOR The color of this one is GORGEOUS apple red. I'm talking about that gorgeous translucent metallic red that makes you think of Candy Apples. It's really beautiful. CORD A cord several feet long. I haven't had any connectivity issues near my switch. The power plug has 3 pins, so you need a power outlet. HOW TO USE With any juicer of this type, it is very important that you do not push the vegetable or fruit into the top, but guide it with the plunger to apply LIGHT PRESSURE. These screens are not powerful enough to play The Incredible Hulk. I recommend that you only feed one thin carrot at a time and have the slug carefully cut off, or cut larger carrots into small pieces or slices so the machine doesn't fight it and break the web. I recommend tearing it apart. I used different types of cabbage from my garden, lettuce and kale. I ripped them all into smaller pieces so the juicer wouldn't struggle with the big chunks. You can squeeze the juice out of the stems, but make sure you cut the pieces into convenient leafy strips 1 to 2 inches wide, depending on thickness. Cut SMALL clumps of wheatgrass in half and serve each half at a time. Trust me I've made enough wheatgrass. You will thank me for this information. I haven't used one that claims it can juice celery, which doesn't work much better if you chop it into pieces about two inches long. The fibers easily ruin the juicer FRUIT Be sure to peel ALL citrus fruits. I don't care who said what. Peeling/peeling will ruin any juicer. JUICE QUALITY The quality of this juice is as good as any of my top slow chew juicers. It's not as sweet as centrifugal due to the lack of air to turn into juice with things like carrots and apples. However, it's still amazing. DOES PULP EXIST? There will be some pulp in it, but again that's consistent with other juicers I've used. It has less pulp than the Green Star Juicer. CLEANING Cleaning with this juicer is VERY easy. Cleans well. I can clean things in a minute or two without much effort. The only part that needs attention is the screen. Soak the screen in a cup of water with any detergent for several hours. This keeps the strainer clean and unplugged, extending the life of your juicer. Rinse well, although they usually add a lot of flavor. CONCLUSION This is a great juicer. If you've wanted a tough juicer for a long time and can't afford a premium juicer, this is excellent value for money. Love it as much as the top juice I make from other juicers. As long as you don't push the plunger too hard, chop ALL the veggies into smaller pieces, this will work great. MY RATING IS FIVE STARS. Even if the books are a bit off, they still have something good that is not enough for a star deduction. While an improvement in this area would make this pack a lot nicer, I'll admit, it's far from a deal breaker. I recommend this juicer if it works as well as this one. I know my child who is far from home will love this thing.
