Review on 📸 Efficient Scanning Made Easy: Visioneer One Touch 5800 USB Flatbed Scanner by Michael Gutierrez

I can't get email or free support. I received a Christmas present and tried to install it several times - a red X logo appears in the system tray, which means that it cannot connect. I have found that under certain conditions (AMD processor, certain USB ports, etc.) this scanner has problems installing with Windows 98 Second Edition. Why isn't that somewhere on the packaging or at least in the instructions? Also, the installation instructions I found online didn't match Adobe's Acrobat instructions, and the latter completely obscured the illustrations that could have helped. The scanner is still not installed and "Sarah" doesn't understand what I'm asking about.
