📸 Efficient Scanning Made Easy: Visioneer One Touch 5800 USB Flatbed Scanner Review

I noticed two stars on this scanner! I have used the Visioneer 5800 USB with the Paperport software for three years and have never had a problem. It is easy to use, not only scans papers, pictures, etc., but also objects such as coins, pocket knives and the like. In terms of cost, ease of use and the quality of the copies and scans I don't see how it can be beat! I give 5 stars for everything!

Purchased from Osgood Tool and Home Supply. The delivered box does not contain installation CD and invoice. Revain does not say "no installation CD". I can't get email or free support. I received a Christmas present and tried to install it several times - a red X logo appears in the system tray, which means that it cannot connect. I have found that under certain conditions (AMD processor, certain USB ports, etc.) this scanner has problems installing with Windows 98 Second Edition. Bought the 5800USB from a discount store for $23. It was missing a power adapter - I called Visioneer's toll free number and they 1. were very nice and professional and 2. delivered one same day for FREE. , and I only installed PaperPort, nothing else). This product does not include a power cord. After reviewing the software, I found that this scanner is so outdated that it will not work with computers running anything newer than Windows XP. I've had this scanner for a little over 2 years. After the first year I had a problem connecting the power cord to the back of this unit. The scanner's power cord on the back was loose and the scanner could not see that the power cord was actually connected to it.
