Bought this GoPro extension cable for a trip to the tropics. I bought it on purpose as it was advertised as waterproof. I wanted to use it while diving. I am aware that salt water can be a problem with some materials so, as with all of my scuba gear, I have taken extra care to rinse with fresh water after each use in the sea. Here are the problems. 1) The clip to attach to the GoPro case is too small. I didn't realize it until my GoPro fell off and sank to the bottom on my first dive! Luckily it wasn't deep and I had another GoPro clip that worked correctly. 2) The Rotate/Expand/Lock feature is the worst I've seen. It is not smooth to use at all. 3) The actual extension is too short for real underwater use to get the GoPro a good distance in front of you. 4) AND THE WORST. After 3 uses (and each cleaning) the entire extension tube got stuck and frozen. It can no longer be flipped or used. Terrible product. I never recommend. Would have received a refund but has been out of date for a few weeks! LAME.
