Tube and packaging arrived in good condition. I was amazed at how the hose compresses into such a small area. That's why we bought it in the first place. Pros: * Compact. It shrinks very little. It easily fits in a medium sized kitchen container*. No kinks. It worked as advertised. I tested this on a cool day expecting cold water to cause a kink. It isn't.* Lining/jacket. It's held up well out of the box, but I haven't tried it yet. * Plugs and sockets - they look well kept. Cons: * Taste - I ran cold tap water for ten minutes. First tasting test: Very noticeable aroma of the skin. Then I turned on the water for another thirty minutes. Again: a noticeable hose/chemical taste. My wife and son agreed. FIX: We then filled the water tank on the countertop with water straight from the hose. After testing the filtered water, everyone agreed that the aroma was gone. Conclusion? This product is advertised as "drinking water safe". It does not advertise itself as "NO TASTE". Be sure to. It either takes well over 40 minutes to wash out the by-products, or you have to filter the water to get rid of the taste. As long as we run it through at least 3 different levels of activated carbon and other filters, everything is fine. The benefits of the compact size outweigh the flavor as it can be filtered.* Water Usage: The inner diameter is much smaller than that of the average lawn hose. This affects your blood pressure. Finally, I like that it's compact. With our limited storage space, this is a plus. It's safe to drink, so that's an added benefit, but it requires filtration to remove the flavor. I give him three stars.
