Very satisfied. Light weight and no bad taste

We bought this to connect fresh water to our motorhome and have been very happy with it. Nice and light. Easy to connect. And most importantly, there is NO unpleasant taste or odor in our water. I've had other heavy white freshwater hoses that made the water taste/smell pretty bad. Not this one. Saves a lot of space and weight in our new, smaller motorhome. I can't tell you how long this will take. We used it for 2 weeks on a trip this fall. We normally change our fresh water hose every year…

The plug broke on the second use.

I used this hose once with great success, I liked that it folds up small and is much easier to store than my old heavy duty blue Camco hose. Second, plug it in, everything seems fine. A week later I go out to drain the tanks and lo and behold water is spraying out of my fresh water fitting where the female end of this hose connects to my water filter. I tried reversing the connections so the hose went into the brass end instead of the plastic end and still leaked like crazy out the BACK of the…

There doesn't seem to be any quality control

I bought two of these tubes. One of these leaked in the crimp connection the first time it was used. Contacted Teknor Apex directly and got a refund straight away which was great. I bought the same replacement hose and the new one leaked again at the pinch connection! This company is not required to perform quality control testing before packaging these hoses. I like the hose because it's light weight and the one I have works great. All components are of high quality. It was this crimping that…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not bad but...

After trying everything imaginable, expand and contract hoses, straight rubber garden hoses and contractor hoses, I decided I really liked this hose better than anything we had previously used . I used to love the white and blue RV drinking water hoses and Sears rubber yard hoses, but both are difficult to pull out and then put away. Drinking water is ideal for mobile homes. because it is compact and does not kink or get tangled like conventional hoses. For our garden, that's enough to maneuver

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • Good but not great

Pros: Compact. and Cons - Pants Button

Tube and packaging arrived in good condition. I was amazed at how the hose compresses into such a small area. That's why we bought it in the first place. Pros: * Compact. It shrinks very little. It easily fits in a medium sized kitchen container*. No kinks. It worked as advertised. I tested this on a cool day expecting cold water to cause a kink. It isn't.* Lining/jacket. It's held up well out of the box, but I haven't tried it yet. * Plugs and sockets - they look well kept. Cons: * Taste - I…

  • There are problems

I think it could be great for RV use BUT. . .

I was surprised by the quality of the hose itself. Some reviews suggest you can ruin it by stepping on it. I think just hanging it under slides or tucking it under an RV would be enough to prevent this, but it looks and feels pretty solid. I wasn't concerned about the durability of the hose itself when I saw it and it folds down into a small and handy size that fits into a small bag or even a converted plastic ice cream tub for a 25ft footer fits. Due to a serious male connector leak, send it…
