I like this cable. It's shielded and the sensor fits into the rails for the ethernet connector I bought. However, Cat 7 does not fully support Cat6 or Cat5 feedback. Cat7 cable works router to router and router to my 5 year old Macbook. But Cat7 doesn't work from my router to my 10 and 20 year old Macbooks. I suspect there is a compatibility issue related to the frequency or driver for the ethernet ports. I DON'T KNOW. My assignment was to buy a basic 10/100 ethernet switch and connect Cat 5 cables to legacy equipment. The 1000 Gigabit Ethernet switch with the Cat 5 patch was not working. Hope that helps.
