I was very excited to try this product. I have a four year old GSD who is well trained in natural disaster search and rescue. This is a very strong-willed dog, stubborn. She's not aggressive, but sometimes when she decides to do something, she's hard to stop. She learns very quickly, but always goes beyond the set limits. Ecollar is necessary for calming and communication. I liked the tone and characteristics of the tapping, as well as the low level stimulation just to remind her of the rules when needed. This morning the temperature was 38 degrees when we went to the park for our usual run and workout. I had a collar around her but didn't use it. When we were done, I took off her collar. Just to try, I pressed the sound button when I realized it wasn't working. Then I pressed the two front buttons one after the other and both got stuck in the pressed position. I tried turning off the transmitter but I couldn't turn it off. The dial didn't respond either. Then I tried everything. I turned the receiver on and off and then tried turning the transmitter off but nothing worked. I tried warming the phone up in my hands when I was finally able to turn it off, but the front buttons were still stuck. I had to "shake" them to get them back to their normal position. However, clicking it again resulted in a freeze. The device is new, a month old, has not been used that much, no external damage, nothing. Luckily I didn't try to hit my dog this morning as I have no idea what signals the broken buttons are sending to my dog and I haven't been able to turn off the device for a long time. I have to return the device and will not ask for a replacement. Such a device must be extremely reliable, I have no doubts whether it will work or not, whether it will harm my dog or not. I will return to the well tested Dogtra device we had previously. I am extremely disappointed
