Review on ๐Ÿงต 63 Colors Polyester Embroidery Thread Kit - Compatible with Brother, Babylock, Janome, Singer, Husqvarna, Bernina Sewing and Embroidery Machines - 550 Yards per Spool Cone by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A nice thread, maybe better for hand embroidery or on a non-Brother machine?

The thread is beautiful, the colors are excellent, the shine is fantastic. I think the price is good for the value of the filament you get. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had issues with it breaking. When the spool is inserted into the machine, it will break the thread as it starts to accelerate. I lowered the speed (it was set to the default speed) and it still broke when the machine started running faster. I finally solved the problem by using a cone thread holder and feeding the thread from there rather than the machine holder. it's a problem for other people. My machine is Brother NQ1600E. The taper thread retainer I used is a solid metal Dritz 896 spool retainer (I got it here at Revain). Editing March 2021: I downgraded it from 4 to 3 stars because the colors are just as pretty as the colors (and they're really pretty and shiny). I'm tired of dealing with broken threads. It really seems to depend on the color, some colors never click at slow speed while one was so bad it clicked 5 different times on the same design. I donated a box of thread to a group of church women so anyone who wanted to machine or hand embroider could do so so the thread wasn't wasted and someone could use it. My Brother machine is also very thread intensive, so maybe a different brand of machine would have had fewer problems?

Pros
  • โœ”๏ธ High tenacity yarn - ideal for use in your professional multi-needle machine or home single-needle machine. Won't break, so you can sew and embroider for hours and let the machine do the work while you have fun. Embroider a hat, cap, apron, T-shirt with drawings and patterns on cotton and other materials with your own hands.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
