Why save on motherboard cable length? I finally got my motherboard, Asus Prime B550-Plus, which is a standard ATX form factor, and with a power supply in my Fractal Design Focus G ATX Mid Tower case, the power supply sits under the motherboard and the 24-pin motherboard power cable costs. TOO SHORT to get from PSU to motherboard. If it was about 2 inches longer it would have worked, although even then with the minimum PSU to motherboard spacing it would be so tight that I doubt I could fit any expansion cards in at the same time. I'm very disappointed with this as I can't afford to assemble the whole PC at once so I slowly assembled it and kept this power supply in a case for several months only to find now that the main cable was also short. All other cables in the box seem to be long enough. It includes legacy Molex connectors - just remove them to offset the cost of extending the power cord, so we've got some darn options! Now I have to figure out if I can order just the cable I need or if I have to send the entire power adapter back and hope they actually send it back after so long. Never had to turn it on.
