Ban plastic bags from shopping at grocery, convenience, department, etc. and other stores Charleston, SC has many of us pet cat owners prompted to look for an alternative to scooping out the pan! I think the plastic ban is spreading across the country. I have reviewed many bin bags here - I am very happy with the one I chose. At 21" L x 18" W (4 gallons) and 1.2 miles of strength, they are more than adequate for use in a cat pan. I have 6 cats. I scoop 4 pans at least 2 times a day and more often 3 times. Undoubtedly, these bags hold the weight and don't leak. It feels like they have sturdier plastic inside - similar to the big McDonald's plastic bag they use when I buy their salads. I could probably use 2.6 gallons easily, but I often toss empty cat food/uneaten food cans and prefer the extra bag length to tie to keep the smell out. I could never have animals and expect them to crawl into a dirty pot, so I keep them clean. My animals deserve cleanliness. I'm happy! Colors are not a must for me, but I like them better than the usual transparent or white ones! I'm a real person, not a paid reviewer.
