Review on 🎒 Optimized Osprey Daylite Daypack in Dream Purple Shade by Joseph Meola

I bought this pack as a gift for my wife. I was quite disappointed to find that it appeared to have been used by someone else and subsequently returned. My first clue was the two missing zippers in the main compartment. Upon opening this unzipped compartment I noticed a black thread embedded in the zip where the previous owner had clearly opened/closed the package with some of the original tags still attached and didn't bother to zip the thread out of the zip draw . At this point I was pretty annoyed. When I opened the package, I immediately noticed that the inner gray material was dirty. Now I realized that this herd made its first flight on someone else's back. On closer inspection, it turned out that the outside of the backpack was also dirty, but not as noticeable as the stains on the light gray inner material. All that said, when new it seems like a good package. I return for NEW. I understand that this review reflects poorly on the manufacturer which may not be fair as this issue was caused by the seller. However, if Osprey wants to maintain his good reputation, he needs to be aware of these situations. Whether they'll ever see it, I don't know. Provided I get the new package I paid for I'll happily update my review accordingly, but we're off to a bad start in that regard. EDIT: After returning a used package that was previously sent to me, a replacement showed up by the end of last week. Hooray - it was new and in the original packaging! Improved rating from 2 to 4 stars. It appears to be a very good package and is excellent for the purpose it was purchased for. This is a gift for my wife and will most likely not be used until next spring, but it has a well thought out design and is made from a lightweight yet durable material. I would give it 5 stars but I can't get over the fact that I got a used one and had to return it so it's 4 stars. I see this as a seller's issue, not a manufacturer's, but Osprey does have a say in who sells their products, so maybe they should be a little more careful in that regard.
