I have been using an OE cabin filter since I bought my new car. It was a great filter, no complaints. However, while looking for a replacement filter, I noticed a fresh fram breeze. I really liked the concept of the baking soda and charcoal lining in the filter media. I couldn't be happier with the result. I get clean smelling air outside, even an hour's drive, and as far as I can tell it traps just as much dirt as the OEM filter media. and baking soda, and due to its rigidity, be careful not to bend the filter and press it against the slit as this may result in breakage. Your filter can burst at the seams and release its contents if not handled with care. I'm not sure how long the fresh air effect will last as the capacity of the filter doesn't allow for large amounts of charcoal and baking soda, bearing in mind these considerations. I think it's the best investment I've made by switching a breath of fresh air. Car: Scion tc 2006. Owned: About 1 month old and still smells nice.
