Review on NuTone Central Vacuum Utility Inlet by Tracy Shelton

Very happy with the entry. Seems sturdy and well made. Inlet is for connection to a 2" light wall PVC vacuum pipe designed. Local hardware stores do not have this type of pipe or matching PVC fittings. But don't let that stop you. Hardware stores carry what is called Schedule 40 (SCH40) pipe and fittings. The SCH40 pipe has a thicker wall. The Difference as for the pipes is that one is 2" male and the other is 2" female. To connect this inlet to the cheaper SCH40 pipe you just need to buy two fittings and PVC glue. A 2" DWV SCH40 coupler – UPC 039923220301 @ 75 cents. A DWV SCH40 2"x1 1/2" receptacle - UPC 039923216601 priced at $1.17. They fit together as shown in the picture (just need to add glue and connect fully). Both fittings are available from Revain. I spent some time at my local hardware store trying LOTS of different lights to find this combination and bought my lights there. So I have no reason to doubt buying this entry.
