Keeps track of time - clock hardware

I bought this clock to replace a clock mechanism that never worked properly. It came together in minutes and keeps perfect time. I looked at the instructions and put on a round lid, pressed it, it's there, but it doesn't say press it, just screw it on. I won't take it off, I'll wait and see if it falls off, then I'll screw it on. It was my fault. I think it's a quality device and I would buy it again
