Review on GoSports Mini Foam Baseballs For Pitching Machines And Batting Accuracy Training - 20 Or 50 Pack by Carl Watkins

Golf ball sized, works for practice.

GoSports Mini Foam Baseballs for Pitching Machines and Batting Accuracy Training - 20 or 50 Pack-Far smaller than I had imagined (picture a golf ball). They do list the size accurately so it's my perception that is the culprit here. I was happy with the density of the balls. They are quite a bit denser and heavier than I would expect for the size/material. I did want to use some of them for my dog but that's not practical after seeing them. I do want to mention that in case others were thinking of getting them for that purpose. As a practice ball, they work all right. I don't have access to a pitching machine so I have not tried that aspect. Because the size is so small it does seem to help with getting down accuracy when swinging. I wanted to teach my friend's son how to hit better and they have helped. Since they are small the resistance I would expect from the wind/air when throwing them hasn't been an issue. When hit they don't travel too far but there is still a bit of satisfaction when you hit one. I do like that they don't shock your hands when you connect as a typical baseball would. I do worry that without getting used to that feeling it may catch him off guard. Though we do plan on moving to regular balls soon these helped more with muscle memory and accuracy. They thankfully include a bag too which is huge. These get lost easily despite the bright yellow color. Each time we use them we end up ending with a few missing. At least they include 50 of them so it allows for some to go missing but we are down at least ten of them now. All in all, I like the product. The best usage I have found so far is how they display them being used in the listing, crouching and repeatedly tossing a ball up.

Pros
  • The GoSports Mini Foam Baseballs are perfect for honing your pitching machine skills, whether you're a beginner or an experienced player
Cons
  • Foam baseballs may not provide the same level of challenge as real baseballs, leading to potentially slower progress in skill development
