Review on ๐Ÿพ Silver Satin Steel Two-Prong Cork Puller with Cover - Monopol Westmark Germany by Tanya Meyers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well made and most functional knife I have ever used.

I have several corkscrews and they are good, but bad things can happen when it comes to old corks. The cork may break if the screw simply pulls out the center of the cork, or it may just break off to the top half of the cork leaving the bottom half to be inserted into the bottle as the only next step. This "Ah-So" style opener avoids that risk and also works with new corks. Just wiggle and slide it slowly and steadily, then catch it rising. Voila! There are cheaper versions on the market and they might be ok, but they have spring steel blades in combination with the usual German redesign. For those dealing with relatively expensive or valuable wine bottles, what can a few extra dollars do to make life easier for years to come?

Pros
  • Kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • Almost never
