Has stopped working and the replacement policy is terrible

It's been working for about 3 months - at least I think so. I've been checking the app (Android) regularly and it showed the percentage of battery left and that it was in the was in sleep mode. So I assumed it was ok. But I went to Mydlink on the web to check some dlink camera settings and I saw that this device is not connected to Wi-Fi. I never received any notification about this. So I tried to reconnect it but to no avail. I called tech support. The agent was very thorough and together we went through everything I've already tried: restarting the device. Restart your phone. Uninstall and reinstall the app. Try another phone. Etc. In the end the agent agreed it just wouldn't reboot properly to try reconnecting and allowed RMA for a replacement. So good for an agent. But then I get RMA instructions. Ridiculous. I have to pay for returning the defective device, not Dlink. And in exchange they send me a REPAIR DEVICE, not a new one. Oh, and a 10% restocking fee! Also see the bottom of the email for what I absolutely must include in the return - complete with the prices I appear to be charged if I don't return anything. -- You know, like those 2 tiny mounting screws that cost $10 for some reason. The battery was a tie for me, so I gave it a try. I don't know if I'll be returning it or not due to similar reports of connection issues as mine. It costs about $8 to return and it might just be good money after bad. My advice is, if you're going to get a flyer on this, make up your mind while you can still return it to Revane. Dlink's return/replacement process is terrible. 1 x DCH-S161-US2 x AA Battery ($5.00) 1 x 5.9ft Sensor Probe Cable ($10.00) 1 x Mounting Screws ($10.00) 1 x Copy of Proof of Purchase
