This item arrived very quickly and was well packaged. Sent in several boxes. One for the base, one for the center frame and equipment, one for the table top and one for the chairs. Interestingly, the worktop came in both lighter solid wood and darker walnut (each side had a different finish - see photos below, giving me a choice of which to use even though I paid for the cheaper walnut). In the box. The fittings consisted of 8 Phillips self-tapping screws and a washer for the base. It was very easy to figure out how to assemble this table. There are no pre-drilled holes on the countertop as you have to choose which surface you want to use. An electric screwdriver or a Phillips drill will do the trick for assembly, but I think a manual screwdriver will require more effort. The chairs were fully assembled and only had to be unpacked and removed from the protective film. The total assembly time was less than 10 minutes. Tools used for assembly: Phillips-head corded electric drill (a regular Phillips-head screwdriver will also work) 5/8-inch box-end wrench to tighten the square-head screw on the base Assembly Instructions: 1 . Choose the countertop surface you want to use and lay it face down on the floor. When mounting on a hard surface, you can leave the countertop in the box to avoid scratches. Center bar on top of inverted table top.3. Center the center bar so each edge is about 13 1/4 inches from the outside edge of the table on each side. You can mark the screw holes if you want to pre-drill.4. Screw in the four corner screws with a Phillips screwdriver.5. Screw in the remaining four central screws.6. Remove the screw attached to the other end of the center post. Place the base over the mullion and then attach the washer and screw.7. Tighten the screw with a wrench.8. Turn the table over.9. Unpack the chairs and remove the protective plastic covers.10. Enjoy your new table.
