At first I thought it was an amazing product but then reality kicked in. Demonstrations of all strainer litter boxes are made under control; They pour a glass of water and then demonstrate how easy it is to clean. If your cat is like most cats, she loves digging in the litter box and burying her poo. When you clean the box, the solid litter comes out fine, but sticks together in the corner, and the screens stuck in the mesh are a byproduct of cat pee and sticky litter. What a mess! Not only is this difficult to clean, but when you dump the litter from the used bowl 1 into the clean bowl 2, urine/dirt collects in the corner of the original bowl. Now you have two things to clean up! First I put more litter in the box because I figured the cat wouldn't dig as deep. It didn't help. The next day, after sifting, it was almost too heavy to transfer from one pan to another. This tray is in the same place as the motorized rake box; a bunch of "tested and hated" not very good ideas. I'm so glad I didn't get rid of my old standard tablet. I never thought I would say this, but after a few weeks of using this strainer, cleaning an old school strainer is a pleasure!
