It's hard to find decent compact bookcases for the tight space in the home to maximize storage space. It's not luxury furniture, but it does the job. I took two and stacked them vertically to make the most of the tiny space I had. Shelves come with accessories for horizontal or vertical connection. The vertical connection was a little tricky and one screw didn't fit perfectly. I sandwiched it between two other large bookshelves so it still works fine, but I'd be nervous about it standing on its own without side support. Shouldn't be a problem if you're connecting more than one horizontally or just getting one bookshelf period. Shelves are adjustable. Well packaged in the box but the foam that fills the various parts leaves small crumbs so you may have to wipe everything before reassembling. Looks nice when assembled. At first I only ordered one but I was satisfied so I ordered a second one.
