Review on ZIWI Peak Air-Dried Cat Food – 🐱 Natural, High Protein, Grain-Free & Limited Ingredient with Superfoods by Autumn Campbell

UPDATE 03/18/2018**- We no longer feed this food to our cat. Although she likes the taste, it has caused crystals in her bladder. After $1,000 in vet bills and diagnostics, we figured out the problem and are moving on. Unfortunately, while Ziwipeak and other brands claim that 98% of their ingredients are meat, that doesn't mean 98% of their food is meat. consists of meat or raw protein. Rather, the other 2% dominate the actual food composition. Their breakdown is about 33% of the crude protein. We've learned that cats should eat around 45%+ crude protein. Wysong Epigen 90 and Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein produces dry food with the highest crude protein content (55-56%). However, since Wysong Epigen 90 updated its recipe, many people have complained that it causes diarrhea and even death in ferrets. So we steered clear of Wysong and chose Dr. Elsey's. She's been fine since we put her on RX and then to Dr. Elsie changed. - AVOID dry food with less than 45% crude protein. ------ OLD REVIEW: This is my cat's favorite food. Blend: Petcurean Fresh Acres + Ziwipeak Air-Jerky Beef + All Natural Freeze Dried Raw Pet. She selects this one from the mix and eats it first. It's like a treat. Cons: Revain had trouble keeping this in stock for returns. My scheduled deliveries were canceled early and I had to wait months for Revain to be restocked. Extremely expensive, tiny size. I wish they made bigger cat bags so you get more bang for your buck.
