This is a thin client, not a full PC. Keep that in mind and that's okay.

If you look at the seller (sharevdi) this PC like most others they sell is actually designed to be used as a business thin client or computer that only run one app Remotely back into a big computer. Because of that, it uses little RAM, small SSDs, and a very, very low-power processor that was released for a *tablet* seven years ago. What it should do: * Exist behind a screen in a large corporate environment to run business applications somewhere on a large computer * Behave like an industrial PC that doesn't need to be thought about and does something it doesn't need to do : * Replaces a real PC or even a newer Chromebook for multimedia use (YouTube etc.) * Play basically any modern game. What it will do: * Pull out Raspberry Pi support because it has an AMD processor * Run Linux stripped or shut down Windows 10 * Drive a 4K display at 30Hz (HDMI 1.4) * Run a web browser for surfing the web or Microsoft Office 365. The fact that it can do anything else for its price is really great. If you can get Linux/Xubuntu on it, even better - the video support for Radeon is great and feels a lot faster on Ubuntu than on Windows 10. The processor doesn't seem to throttle as easily under load because the whole chassis it actually is its heatsink, which is a good thing because running Chrome on Windows consumes almost all of its CPU power for normal tasks. If you just want something to put next to your router and run something, that's fine too. Mine runs a few Linux services and has replaced what I would use a Raspberry Pi for. If you're going to do stuff with YouTube and such, it's definitely underpowered - opt for a faster and newer Intel chip or a heavier (more powerful) AMD processor from that era. Build quality is solid and the price isn't bad, but the chipset shows its age.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • For a long time
